Twisted Clouds NZ Vaping Forum: Rules of Conduct
Welcome to Twisted Clouds. We are the top forum for the New Zealand Vaping Community, and we intend to do everything possible to ensure that you have a great experience while you’re here. To that end, we expect members to follow a few simple guidelines in order to maintain an environment that’s civil, safe and inclusive for all.
Please take a moment to read these rules of content before posting on the Twisted Clouds Forum. It is your responsibility to understand and adhere to our acceptable use policy.
1. Consent Required for Participation
By participating in the Twisted Clouds forum, you indicate that you have read and agree to these terms. We may update these rules at any time and without notice. It is your responsibility to ensure that you remain in compliance with our rules for participation.
2. Adult Access Only
To participate in the Twisted Clouds forum, you must be an adult aged eighteen (18) or older. If you are underage, you may not create an account or post on this forum. If we discover that you are underage, your account will be banned without notice.
3. Family-Friendly Environment
At Twisted Clouds, it is our goal to maintain a family-friendly environment for adults of all ages. Keep your language to a “PG” rating and do not post or link to content that others may find objectionable. If you would not feel comfortable reading a post aloud to family members or co-workers, it does not belong here.
4. One Account Per Person
We do not allow individuals to possess multiple accounts or to share accounts. If you have a spouse or family member who would like to participate, that person must register his or her own account. Duplicate accounts are subject to termination without notice.
5. Forum Moderation
Our moderators have sole discretion regarding what constitutes acceptable participation on the Twisted Clouds forum and have the right to edit, modify and delete content and user accounts for any reason. Forum moderators have the final say in all disputes.
6. No Expectation of Privacy
By using our private message system, you understand that your messages may be monitored by forum moderators to ensure compliance with the forum acceptable use policy. You are not allowed to post a private message in a public area of the forum without the sender’s permission.
7. Copyright Infringement
The Twisted Clouds forum does not tolerate copyright infringement in any form. You may not reprint an article verbatim found elsewhere online without obtaining the author’s permission and linking to the original source of the content. Excerpts posted with proper credit to the author are generally permitted. We will comply with removal requests from copyright holders.
8. Acceptable Behaviour
We expect our members to treat each other in a courteous and inclusive manner at all times. We do not tolerate “trolling” or abusive, intolerant, racist, hateful or hurtful language in any form. Disagreements may arise, but personal attacks and “flame wars” are not acceptable. In addition, the Twisted Clouds forum does not allow content that is illegal, sexual, obscene or drug related. Users found violating this policy are subject to immediate banning without notice. Our moderators have the final say in all matters relating to acceptable behaviour on this forum.
9. No Spam
Advertisements and commercial messages belong in the vendor area of the Twisted Clouds forum. We do not allow users to act as shills or sock puppets for commercial brands or to attack brands maliciously. We do not allow members to use their posts or forum profiles for link spam. We will delete all spam without notice. Our moderators have sole discretion in determining what content constitutes spam.
10. Ownership of Content
By posting on the Twisted Clouds forum, you assert that your words are your own and that you are the copyright holder of that content. You grant Twisted Clouds the perpetual and unlimited right to host that content with no royalties or other charges.
11. Illegal Activity
You agree that you will not use the Twisted Clouds forum for any activity illegal in New Zealand or elsewhere. In the event of illegal or criminal conduct, Twisted Clouds will comply with any requests made by law enforcement personnel in criminal investigations.
12. Freedom of Speech
Twisted Clouds is a privately-owned forum, and we reserve the right to moderate all content as necessary to ensure compliance with our guidelines for acceptable content and forum use. We intend to make Twisted Clouds a friendly and inclusive environment for all users and have the sole right to determine who may participate and what content is allowed on this platform. There is no right of free speech here.
13. Discipline Policy
In the event that a user violates the Twisted Clouds acceptable use policy, that user is subject to immediate banning without notice. Our moderators have the sole authority to determine whether a warning is warranted prior to banning a user. Forum bans may be temporary or permanent depending on the severity of the infraction. You do not have the right to appeal a moderator’s decision.
14. Indemnification Policy
All content on the Twisted Clouds forum is owned by the users who post it, and the users are solely responsible for the legality of that content. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Twisted Clouds in the event of any dispute arising from your forum activity or the content you post. You may not name Twisted Clouds the defendant or respondent in any lawsuit or other legal proceeding. If a legal complaint is made to Twisted Clouds regarding your activity on this forum, we will comply with all information requests made by law enforcement personnel.
15. Collection of Information
When you create an account on the Twisted Clouds forum, we collect certain information about you such as your name, age, email address and IP address. We also maintain a standard activity log that we use for security purposes and to provide a good experience to all users. In the event that you decide to discontinue your use of this forum, we will delete your personal information upon request.
